The Center for Internet Security (CIS) is a New York–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2000, that leads a global community to improve public- and private-sector cybersecurity through the CIS Controls and Benchmarks, hardened cloud images, and other solutions, and is home to the MS-ISAC and EI-ISAC supporting U.S. state, local, tribal, territorial, and election offices.
